Yes Baby Jesus, you are the BEST superhero
Updated: Jan 7, 2019
Christmas has crept up on us - way too fast. The food is prepared, presents are wrapped, loved ones are together, but one thing's for sure, this Christmas, for me, will be a difficult one; it will be the first Christmas without "her".
Christmas was her thing. She was the driving force in the kitchen and the host of the family affair. Whereas this Christmas, the next generation are doing their best to carry that mantle. With the family drawing together, I'm sure there'll be a lot of laughs but also potentially many tears.
...At least we will all be together, and we can remember her and how much love she had to give....
Even though 2018 broke my heart, I know He was the one that carried me through. He was my superhero.
For me, that's the thing about Christmas. A time to remember all that we've lost yet all that we hope for. I shed a tear for a mother lost and shout a cry for a saviour born. Maybe that's why I miss Mum so much; she embodied so much of the love He came to bring.
So from us to you, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and safe travels over the New Year, wherever the Summer may take you. Blessings for 2019!
